Hi, I’m David Weil

 

David is Chairman and CEO of the ICTS Group of Companies. A stalwart of the retirement funds industry, having started his own business in 1995 called Investment Consulting and Training which he sold to the Alexander Forbes Group in 1999 where he occupied a Senior Director position for just over 3 years, before restarting ICTS in 2002. ICTS has the mission statement “to support retirement funds and their members, in collaboration with the fund's mainstream service providers, by specializing in niche services that compliment and enhance the overall retirement funding experience." David and his team have achieved this in the fields of tracing, death benefit services, training, legal services, EBnet and Pensions World SA (which has a following of over 15,000 industry participants), and Motswedi Economic Transformation Specialists too. David holds a BA in Economics and Law from Wits and serves as independent trustee on a number of retirement fund trustee boards. 

Nathalie Burrows, head facilitator for the Academy and editor for EBnet

 

Having spent 30 years in the retirement funds industry, Nathalie brings the technical legislation and content to life with her practical experience. She has served in many different capacities; as an employee benefits consultant, an individual financial planner, a Principal Officer, and an Information Officer, giving her a deep appreciation of each role player's perspective. Nathalie has a BCom degree and is a Certified Financial Planner®. She is currently the Editor of EBnet, an independent and collaborative site for all retirement fund stakeholders.

Meet our Investment Gurus, Leon Greyling and Mark Davids

 

Leon has nearly 30 years’ experience in the financial sector, most of which has been in investments. He is the Chief Operations Officer of the ICTS Group, the founder of valuebasedsales.com and co-creator of Collective Action, a European private markets impact investment platform. He was previously CEO of Alexander Forbes Investments, Momentum Outcome-based Solutions, Deputy CEO of Sygnia Asset Management, Marketing Director of Investment Solutions, and Managing Director Alexander Forbes Asset Consultants. Leon is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and a part-time faculty member at GIBS Business School.

 

Mark (B.Com) has 20-years experience in financial services including expertise in multi-management, investment consulting and investment research. He is the founder and Managing Director of Motswedi Economic Transformation Specialists a specialist investment business with a focus on economic transformation in financial services. Mark previously worked at as principal consultant at Alexander Forbes Investments, ABSA Asset Consultants and Liberty Life and also serves on various Financial Sector Transformation Council (FSTC) committees on behalf of ABSIP (Association of Black Investment and Securities Professionals).

Chris is the Executive: Industry and Media Relations for EBnet (The Employee Benefits Network) and has over 34 years’ experience in employee benefits. He is a Member of the Judging Panel for the IRFA Best Practices Awards, a Member of the South African Rewards Association (SARA) Employee Benefits and Tax Committee, a Member of BATSETA Council of Retirement Funds in South Africa (previously The Principal Officers Association) and a Member of the Institute of Retirement Funds Africa (IRFA). Chris has managed and consulted to some of the largest funds in South Africa and has trained many trustee boards on all aspects of employee benefits. He has also served as Trustee and Principal officer and has as a result, a deep understanding of the industry from the perspective of all stakeholders. He has a passion for technology and how it impacts on the way things are done with the ultimate goal of improving fund member outcomes.

Nicola Burger has been working in the employee benefits arena since 2000. Before specializing in trustee training, Nicola worked as an employee benefit consultant, consulting to boards of trustees on all their fiduciary and investment duties – later moving purely to consulting on investment strategy. Nicola has a BCom (Honours) in Financial Accounting.

 

 

Alister Duminy has served as an independent trustee on a bargaining council fund for the last 10 years, where he chairs the board’s death benefits sub-committee. He has 40 years of experience in the retirement funds industry. He is also an independent principal officer for one of the smaller commercial umbrella funds.

 

 

Terry Swait has been in the financial services industry for over 34 years and has held positions in the actuarial, consulting, and operational fields, as well as being the compliance officer for a prominent financial institution and a Principal Officer for several retirement funds. Terry has a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Psychology from the University of Natal, and a Diploma in Actuarial Techniques, and is also a Certified Financial Planner “CFP”.

The Head of the ICTS Academy and Course Co-ordinator, Toni-Leigh Cantin

 

Toni is the Head of the ICTS Academy having spent the past 25 years in the training profession, training over 15,000 trustees, principal officers, consultants and more in the retirement fund industry. Toni makes sure that everything runs smoothly for all our learners, from welcome to congratulations.

 

Running Marketing for the ICTS Academy, is Revlon Selotole

 

Revlon heads up marketing and sales for the ICTS Academy. Her job is to bring our great learning experience to the market and help develop retirement fund fiduciaries to be able to look after their members’ interests.

 

And Technical Support, Chris Combrinck

 

Chris is our resident “techie” and he ensures that the experience our learners receive on-line is truly a great and fulfilling one.
